Article Abstract
Areas of bright signal on diffusion-weighted MRI correlated with a higher degree of spongiform changes. Diffusion-weighted MRI in CJD demonstrates specific-signal abnormalities that correlate well with areas of the most severe and character istic neuropathologic changes.
